Geraldine M. Zdunczyk of Churchville died peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. She was 78.
She was the beloved wife of 52 years to the late John J. Zdunczyk.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence Ronneburger Landherr.
Geraldine was a long time resident of Churchville. She graduated from Nazareth Academy and attended the University of Pennsylvania. Geraldine had a distinguished career has a realtor and had worked for various firms in the tri-county area. After her retirement from the real estate profession, she eventually worked at Pennswood Village in Newtown as a Mail Clerk and Pharmacy Technician. In her leisure, Geraldine enjoyed playing Mah Jong, gardening and spending time with her family and friends in Sea Isle City, NJ. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who had the pleasure of her company.
Geraldine is survived by her 3 loving children: Jacqueline Z. Szanajda and her husband Theodore of Ivyland, Stephen J. Zdunczyk and his wife Christine of Ottsville and Jennifer A. Zdunczyk of Bensalem. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Landherr of Newtown and her 6 loving grandchildren Theodore Szanajda III, Colleen Skoglund and her husband Eric, Christopher Wolff Jr. and his wife Miranda, Courtney Wolff, Brandon Zdunczyk, and Kelly Wolff.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Geraldine’s life on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Church 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Calling hours are from 9:00am to 10:15am followed by her Memorial Mass at 10:30 am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in her memory be made to The American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St. Phila., PA 19103 (www.cancer.org) or Chandler Hall Hospice, 99 Barclay St., Newtown, PA 18940.
