Ellsworth Elias Faust (“Es”; “Els”), of Doylestown, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Doylestown Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old.

He was the beloved husband of Joann Mintz Faust for 59 years.

Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Ellsworth Elias and Naomi Long Faust and lived much of his early life in Conshohocken.

Ellsworth was a proud veteran, having served with the US Army Counter Intelligence Corps in Europe. He was a 1954 Ursinus alumnus and was still connected to many of his Bears classmates. He attended graduate school at St. Joseph’s University and spent most of his career as a research chemist. A true renaissance man and life-long learner, Ellsworth loved travel and enjoyed his family and spending time in his garden. His family has fond memories of time at the beach with Dad and Grandpa and trips throughout Europe and the US.

In addition to his wife, Joann, Ellsworth will be greatly missed by his sons and daughter-in-law, Andrew Faust of Philadelphia and Daniel and Madeleine Faust of Arlington, VA; by his grandchildren, Alexander, Christopher, Katherine, Elaina and Samuel; and by his sister, Naomi Isaac.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of his funeral service, 10:30am at Woodside Presbyterian Church, 1667 Edgewood Rd. Yardley, PA 19067.  Burial will be at Doylestown Cemetery.
