Helen M. Hollingsworth died Sunday, January 28, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living in Richboro. She was 95.

Born and raised in Newtown, PA, Helen was the daughter of the late James Dafter and Mary (nee Koerns) Dafter and sister of the late Robert Vincent Dafter.

Beloved wife of 56 years to the late John R. Hollingsworth, Helen and John settled in Langhorne Borough where they raised three sons, welcomed grandchildren, and lived for more than 50 years. Raising her family Helen enjoyed countless hikes, camping trips, family vacations, rounds of golf, and attending her athletic sons’ many sporting events.

Quiet and observant by nature, Helen loved flowers and bird watching, along with the antics and company of her beloved cats.

As a grandmother her touch was light, loving, and playful. To keep two young grandsons who lived across the street from ringing her doorbell before dawn, Helen devised a system of opening the living room drapes to let them know Nan-Nan was up and available for tea and a game of cards!

She is survived by her children John P. Hollingsworth (Maggie); James A. Hollingsworth (Cheryl), and Ken Hollingsworth (Tani). Helen is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., all in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954.  Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
