Elizabeth E. Dishmon, a resident of Penns Park and a life long resident of Bucks County died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. She was 85.
Born in New Hope, Betty as she was known to family and friends was the beloved wife of 66 years to Kelly. E. Dishmon, daughter of the late John and Henrietta Scott German, she was predeceased by 5 siblings.
Betty was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1950. She was an active member of the Pineville Independent Bible Church. A woman of many talents, Betty loved children, and for many years, she was a baby sitter/ Nanny for many of the school teachers in the area. A true outdoors woman, she had a talent for growing tomatoes and many other vegetables, she loved growing flowering flowers, and was excited when the birds came to enjoy themselves on her hard work. Her home and family came first; Betty and Kelly moved in to Penns Park in 1951 and still live in the same home.
Betty will be missed for her warm smile, generous hugs and tender ways.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her son, Kelly Lee Dishmon and his wife Carol, 1 sister Alice Scheets. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
Betty’s family will receive condolences on Saturday February 10, 2018 from 10:00am until her Memorial Service 11:00 am at the Pineville Independent Bible Church 16 Pine Lane Pineville, PA 18946. Interment will follow in Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, New Hope.
