Mary Elizabeth McPeak (née McGovern), age 88, passed away peacefully at Chandler Hall on Saturday, January 20, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 17, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA to Jack and Mary McGovern. She was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, where she discovered her love of Latin and poetry. She worked as a civilian packing specialist for the US Navy and later worked as bookkeeper for Warren Machine and ADCO.

She was the loving mother of James McPeak, sister to Jack McGovern, former mother-in-law to Bette McPeak, devoted grandmother of Katie McPeak (Chris Convery), Megan Benzio (Kyle Benzio), Ryan McPeak and Timothy McPeak, great grandmother to five beautiful great grandchildren and loving aunt to four nieces and nephews.

Later in life, she became a cherished member of the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Affectionately known to all as Lala, her enduring love, selflessness and support to her family will live on forever in the hearts of those she left behind.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mary's name to the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (www.bucksblind.org).

May God welcome Mary back home and keep her in His heart now and forever.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA where all are welcome to attend. Following the mass, the family will hold a private burial ceremony at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery for immediate family members.
