Alice T. Gale
Alice T. Gale, of Newtown, PA, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018. She was 82 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was daughter of the late Hugh M. and Alice Lafler Taylor. After graduating from high school in Port Jefferson, NY, she earned a BS in Education from the University of Rochester and a JD from the University of Connecticut. During her career, which focused mainly on public service, she co-wrote a book on the legal aspects of emergency care.
Alice was a lifelong progressive and active member of several environmental and civic groups. She also enjoyed nature and was an avid outdoors woman, spending her time hiking and bird watching. She looked forward to traveling with her family and friends especially on trips to Cape May, NJ, for the spring and autumn bird migrations.
Alice is survived by her loving children and their spouses, George Gale and his wife Kanya, and Nancy Kovacevich and her husband Thomas, along with her 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Anna, and Daniel. She also leaves behind her brother, Hugh Taylor and his wife Marsha.
All services for Alice will be held privately by her family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alice’s name may be made to the Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, P.O. Box 685, 1635 River Road, New Hope, PA 18938.
