Shirley Anne Riland died peacefully on Friday December 29, 2017 with her loving family at her side at The Gardens of Tunkhannock, Tunkhannock, PA. She was 87.

Born in Syracuse, New York, Shirley was the beloved wife of 50-years to the late Jordan A. Riland and mother of the late Jane Solly.

Shirley was a resident of Churchville for over 33 years before moving to Buckingham Springs in 2001. She was a member of Addisville Reformed Church, Richboro. Shirley worked in the cafeteria of Council Rock High School, North for many years and befriended many coworkers and students; she also worked for the Burpee Seed Company in Warminster PA for many years.

Shirley will be remembered for a gracious smile and loving ways. She enjoyed Gardening, Reading and was a devoted Dog Owner.

Shirley is survived by her dear children and their spouses Laura Peters and her husband David, David Riland and his wife Brenda, her son-in-law Bill Solly. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 10 great grand children.

Shirley’s family will receive condolences on Saturday January 6th from 9:30 am until her Funeral Service 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.
