Henry "Hank" M. Carroll, of Egg Harbor Twp. NJ, formerly of Feasterville, PA, died peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Atlantic Care Regional Hospital, Pomona, NJ. He was 87.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Carroll was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. Burke Carroll and son of the late Thomas and Anna Frain Carroll.
Hank, as he was known to family and friends, was a graduate of North Catholic High School, class of 1948. He received his undergraduate degree from LaSalle University and his Masters Degree from Temple University. Hank taught in the Philadelphia School district for many years, he retired in 1993 as Principal of the Thomas C. Holme School in Northeast Philadelphia.
Hank was a kind soul with a wonderful smile, generous heart and was well respected by his peers. He was a communicant of Assumption BVM Church, a member of the Regina Mundi Council, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree (past Grand Knight). He enjoyed golf with his buddies, going to the casinos, reading history books and going to the Jersey shore. He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He moved to New Jersey in 2015 to be closer to his family.
Hank is survived by his two sons and their spouses Michael D. Carroll, Esq. and his wife Elaine Dajani Carroll, Esq. and Christopher G. Carroll and his wife Dr. Rita Calabro, his brother and sister, Vincent P. Carroll and Patricia Hahn. He is also survived by 5 dear grandchildren: Connor, Christian, Cameron, Charlotte, and Katherine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday January 4, 2018, at Assumption BVM Church 1900 Meadowbrook Rd. Feasterville form 9:30am until his Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Assumption BVM Church Memorial Fund at the above address.
