Marlene V. “Martye” Majeron of Chalfont, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. She was 80.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Frank Majeron of Chalfont.

Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Gervis J. and Caroline D. Hughes Beattie Scales, and sister of the late Wilford Nesbit Beattie, Jr.

Martye spent much of her life as a homemaker and bookkeeper. She had a great passion for international ballroom dancing and line dancing which she did for over 60 years. She also had an immense love for animals and was an avid supporter of many animal rescues.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, March 25, from 9:30 a.m. until her Prayer Service at 10:30 a.m. in Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901.

Interment will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.
