Karen Ann Harvey of Tunkhannock, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 16, 2017.  She was 57.

She was the wife of John X. Harvey with whom she had shared 17 years of marriage.

Born in Freeport, NY she was a daughter of the late Henry G. and Helen V. Fitchett Zettler.

A graduate of Council Rock High School she went to earn her Associates degree in Food Services from Bucks County Community College.  She was employed for many years in food services.

Karen was among the most selfless people you could ever meet.  She was always giving to those around her and took great pride in volunteering with local soup kitchens and feeding the homeless in the area.  There were even times that if she came across a homeless individual she would drive to the nearest fast food restaurant, purchase them food, and turn around and bring it right back to them.  Although having moved many times in recent years, she was always quick to lay down roots no matter where she landed.  She will be dearly missed as a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sisters, Linda Ksensik and her husband, Robert, and Debra Patrick and her husband, Tom.  She also leaves behind her nephews, Chris, Ryan, and Michael; and her beloved cat, Sweet Potato, who meant the world to her.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 1:00 PM until her Memorial Service 2:30 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954.  Her interment will be private.

For those desiring, donations may be made in her name to Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen, 54 Warren St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
