Corey Daniel Gruver, of Downingtown, PA, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. He was 30 years old. Corey was born at Abington Hospital, and is the son of Dawn Loomis and Brian Gruver.

 Corey was an artistic soul, employed as a stylist at the Gloss Hair Salon in Exton. He considered himself the “King of Color” and produced beautiful work through whichever medium he chose. He was a mentor to many and was known for his unique sense of humor. Corey graduated from Boyertown High School, and attended Kutztown University for graphic design.  He then studied Cosmetology at Pulse Beauty Academy a Paul Mitchell Partner School and obtained his cosmetology instructor license.

 He is survived by his mother Dawn Loomis, her husband James Loomis, father Brian Gruver, his brother Keenan Gruver and his sister Alexa Gruver. He is also survived by his grandparents Roger Brown, Rose and Bill Fell, Patty Gruver, Jean and Arnold Drtina, and his great grandmother Susanna Brown. Most of all, he is survived by the many friends whose lives he touched in such a uniquely positive way.

 Relatives and friends are invited to a Time of Remembrance and Celebration on Sunday, December 17, 2017, from 2pm-6pm at Pulse Beauty Academy,150 East Pennsylvania Avenue Downingtown, PA 19335.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made at the Remembrance for a planned scholarship that is currently being set up payable to the Corey Daniel Gruver scholarship fund. Please understand the funds will not be withdrawn until the trust is finalized. More information will be forthcoming.
