Dorothy Maher Ksensik of Newtown died peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at her home with her devoted family at her side. She was 90.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Ksensik was a resident of Newtown for the past 53 years. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Edwin S. Ksensik, daughter of the late John J. and Marie Schnell Maher, sister of the late Eileen Maher and John J. Maher, II.
Dorothy was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic High School for Girls, class of 1945. She was an active and daily communicant of St. Andrew Parish, Newtown. Dorothy was a faithful member of Aide for Friends, she enjoyed making meals for those less fortunate.
Dorothy was very talented with her hands she loved crocheting and baking and keeping up with all the real news by watching only Fox News. Family came first and foremost with Dorothy, her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought a smile to her face and a twinkle in her eyes. She was loved by many but cherished by her family.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted children and their spouses Carol F. Olesh and her husband Daniel, Robert Ksensik and his wife Linda, John J. Ksensik and his wife Terry, Kathleen A. Keyser and her husband Warren, her sister Mary Moriarty and the late Michael. She was the proud grandmother and great grandmother of Jessica Goodnack, Christopher and Ryan Ksensik, Catherine Fistner, Elizabeth, Amy and Sarah Keyser and 2 great grandchildren Madeline and Johnathan Goodnack.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday December 15, from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:30am at the Church of St. Andrew 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 5300 Chester Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19143.
