Regina A. Byrne of Southampton and formerly of Gray’s Ferry, Philadelphia passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at her home.  She was 86. 

Regina was the loving wife of William J. Byrne and mother of the late Regina Lynch. 

Born in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Michael and Marie Quigg Cronin. 

Regina was a dedicated employee of the City of Philadelphia for 32 years, having retired from the role of Leader 2 within the city’s recreation department.  She loved her work which included running both girls and women’s basketball leagues.  Regina took great pride in the fact that she touched countless lives throughout her career. 

She will be missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. 

In addition to her husband, Regina leaves behind her children, Mary Joan Pellicciotti  and her husband, Bill and William J. Byrne and his wife, Patricia.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Sr. Helen Marie Cronin; and her son-in-law, Brian Lynch. 

In addition to her daughter and parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings. 

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday from 6:00 PM until her Funeral Mass 8:00 PM at St. Gabriel’s Church, 2917 Dickinson St., Philadelphia, PA 19146.  Her interment will take place Saturday 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, LanghorneRelatives and friends may assemble for the procession to the cemetery at 10:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Office of Mission Advancement, Sisters of Christian Charity, 350 Bernardsville Road, Mendham, NJ 07945.
