Raymond J. Taylor, Sr.  of Calabash, NC died on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Abington Jefferson Hospice at Warminster. He was 86

Born in Philadelphia, Raymond was the beloved husband of the late Frances Rita Altomare Taylor, son of the late Horace and Marie McConville Taylor and dear brother of the late Fran, Horace, Paul and Josephine.

Ray attended North Catholic High School, and started his professional career at a young age joining Local # 463 Philadelphia Council Teamsters Drivers, and working for over 40 years delivering for Bond Bread and Acme throughout the Delaware Valley. He retired in 1990 and moved to Calabash, NC, and recently moved back Bucks County to be with his children and grandchildren after his beloved wife died in 2015.

Ray was truly an outdoorsman, an avid yachtsman and fisherman, he loved to hunt, golf with his buddies and be with his family. He enjoyed his time with friends at the race track, picking winners and not sulking over losers. He even tried owning horses and low and behold made it to the Winners Circle.

Ray will be sadly missed for his gracious smile, firm handshake and above all his Honesty.

Ray is survived by his dear children and their spouses Maria R. Schmidt and her husband Kirby, Raymond J. “Buddy” J. Taylor, Jr. and his wife Mary, Joseph Taylor and his wife Felipha, his brother Joseph Taylor and his wife Josephine, He is also survived by his11 dear grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews..
