Nicholas J. Viola of Warminster passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 with his loving family by his side at Doylestown Hospital.  He was 86.

Nick was the loving and devoted husband of Nora Brady Viola and the loving father of the late Brendan Viola, Nicholas Viola, Paul Viola and Eric Viola.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Nicholas and Catherine Fratto Viola.

Nicholas was proudly born and raised in South Philadelphia and graduated from South Philadelphia High School.  He went on to lead a long career as an insurance underwriter, retiring from the role of Assistant Vice President for the United National Insurance Company.  He also tirelessly played bass in a band to ensure that his four children could attend Catholic school through the age of seventeen.

Nick loved the New York Yankees and was a huge fan of shortstop Derek Jeter.  He also enjoyed jazz music, especially Stan Getz, reading, and most especially, time spent with his family.  He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Nick is survived by his children, Nicholas Viola, Paul Viola and his wife Michele, and Eric Viola.  He also leaves behind his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 9:00 -10:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901 and to attend his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 W. Street Rd., Warminster, PA 18974.  His interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
