Patricia Ann Smith of Fountainville passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Abington-Jefferson Health Hospice at Warminster with her loving family by her side.  She was 75.

Patricia was the loving and devoted wife of Charles F. Smith Jr. for 36 years.

Born in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Helen Riordan Curran.

Patricia graduated from St. Hubert’s High School in Philadelphia.  She later worked for the Strawbridge & Clothier in Neshaminy before going on to lead a long career as an administrator in the Business Department at the former Delaware Valley College, now Delaware Valley University, retiring after 25 years.

While at Del Val, Patricia was extremely involved in many facets of her job in the business department and beyond.  She helped with a program offering income tax services to low income families, helped to organize activities, parades, assisted with the former Halloween Hauntings and also served as an advisor to the Delta Epsilon Beta Sorority.  She participated in all of these programs in addition to her duties within her department of organizing seminars, guest speakers, and other day to day operations.

Additionally, Patricia enjoyed decorating, gardening and caring for her home.  She and her husband travelled extensively over the last many years to destinations all over the Caribbean, Europe, and anywhere else with a beach available for rest and relaxation.  Seeing and experiencing the world had become one of her favorite things to do.

Patricia was a dedicated and beloved member of the Delaware Valley College community and most importantly possessed a steadfast devotion for her family, most especially treasuring every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her children, Raymond Young and his wife, Christina, Christopher Young and his wife, Michele, Bryan Young and his wife, Nichole, Patti Scholl and her husband, Edward, Charles P. Smith and his wife, Loretta, Laura Laspee and her husband, Jack, and Nancy Overman and her husband Scott.  She also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Colin, Iris, Matthew, Alexandra, Logan, Sarah, Samantha, Sabrina, Krista, Erik, Kirby, Brenden, Laura, Kimberly, Jack, Sean and Matthew; and her great-grandchildren, Connor, Sylas, Banyon, Abbey, Brayden, Daniel, Jordyn, Logan, Leo, Layla, Olivia, Abby, and Gavin.  She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Curran and her sister, Mary Jane Fiandra and her husband, Dennis.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Patricia’s family on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 9:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, PA 18901.  Her interment will be private.
