Herwig “Eric” Manfred Errhalt of Morrisville went to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. He was 78.
Eric was the beloved husband of 52 years to Beverly Cook Errhalt.
Born in Friedrichshafen, Germany, he was the son to the late Richard and Hildegard Seigl Errhalt and the brother of the late Richard and Helmut Errhalt.
Eric was a former resident of Newtown Borough and Buckingham before most recently moving to Morrisville, PA. He was very proud of his Austrian heritage and enjoyed sharing this with his family by returning to his homeland numerous times with his children and grandchildren. Eric immigrated to the United States in the late 1950’s and became a US Citizen in 1970. Eric was an accomplished entrepreneur and had a successful career as a Senior Vice President with New Jersey National Bank and also as the owner of the Lambertville Antique Market for over 20 years with his wife Beverly. Eric truly enjoyed the outdoors especially traveling to Maine and in his leisure would play tennis and golf. He was truly gifted with excellent communication skills and made everyone always comfortable in his company. Eric was generous to many and continuously worked to provide a legacy that he desired to bestow upon his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.
In addition to his wife Beverly, Eric is survived by his loving children; Heidi E. Cekoric of Warminster, Douglas M Errhalt and his wife Gwen B. of Mashpee, MA , and Robert E. Errhalt and his wife Heather P. of Morrisville. Eric is also survived by his brother Wilfried Errhalt of Vienna, Austria, and his 7 grandchildren; Calla, Gunther, Madalyn, Jacob, Hailey, Tyler, and Michaela and his 2 great-grandchildren Peyton and Amelia.
