Elaine Liberty of Holland passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center.  She was 71.

Born in Abington, she was the daughter of the late Albert M. and Beatrice Boyce Liberty.

Elaine grew up in a farming family and took great pride in her work at the family’s farm over the years.  Elaine was employed as a keypunch operator for Fairless Hill Steel Works. She was also a school bus driver for many years, having worked for Van Trans, Laidlaw and C & C Bus Company. She also worked as an office administrator for McKeon Trucking.

Elaine was a horse lover and enthusiast.  She owned a horse farm, named Misty Acres, on River road in Washington Crossing. She raised her horse "Bandit" from a foal, trained him and participated in barrel racing competitions at various rodeos. She was also a dog lover especially fond of Rottweilers, owning three Rotties over the years. Elaine was a steadfast fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.  Elaine enjoyed dancing, partying, concerts, and a good argument, especially regarding politics and Eagles football.   She was superb at a wide variety of card games, like spades, hearts, poker, canasta, etc.  She also loved cooking, baking, trying new recipes and traveling.

Elaine was a strong willed and opinionated person  who lived her life her way.

Elaine is survived by her brother Allen Ray Liberty as well as many extended relatives and friends, including her dear friend Sandy Gill and her husband Walter and their son Christopher, Ray Gill and Jill Russo, Chuck Rehm, and countless others.

Most importanly Elaine will be remembered as someone who worked hard, played hard, and loved hard.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Elaine’s life on Monday November 27, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 9:30 AM until a time to share remembrances at 10:30 AM at the Joseph A.
