Josephine Ann Cozzo DeMarzo of Jamison and formerly a long time resident of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 8, 2017 with her loving family by her side at Holy Redeemer Hospice. She was 97.
Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Anthony DeMarzo.
Born in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Michael and Rosina Nardi Cozzo.
A parishioner of Our Lady of Calvary Church for 52 years, Josephine was devoted to her faith and her parish community having been an active member of the Our Lady of Calvary Seniors. She was also a past volunteer for Archbishop Ryan High School where she was well known for selling Septa Tokens each Monday.
Josephine enjoyed a wide array of hobbies including reading, sewing, ceramics and crafts of all sorts. She also enjoyed watching her favorite Soaps and taking walks. She took great pride in baking and cooking for countless gatherings of family and friends and was fortunate to take regular road trips with her beloved husband up and down the east coast.
Most of all, Josephine was fiercely devoted to her family. For her, time with those she loved the most always came first. Whether it was quality time with her siblings or being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, family was always the first thing to bring a smile to her face. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are Josephine’s daughters, Carol D’Orazio and her husband, Ronald and Gail Sacharczuk and her husband, Randy. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Ronald D’Orazio, Jr. and his wife, Colleen, Lorianne D’Orazio, and Timothy D’Orazio; her great-grandchildren, Lucas and Jacob D’Orazio; and her brother, Michael Cozzo.
