Robert A. Rohrman, most recently of Pickering Manor in Newtown and formerly of Newtown and Hartsville, died peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Pickering Manor Home. He was 94.

He was the beloved husband of 66 years to the late Ruth L. Linder Rohrman.

Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late George Rohrman and Agnes Houston Rohrman and the father of the late Robert, William, and Paul Rohrman.

Robert was a former resident of Newtown before moving to Pickering Manor Home. He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. Upon completion of his military service, he attended and graduated from Manhattan College in the Bronx, NY and began a lifelong distinguished career as an Electrical Engineer who worked at Johnsville Naval Air Development Center. Robert formally served as a volunteer fireman for the Hartsville Fire Company. Robert was also a former lector at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church in Jamison and also at the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown.  In his leisure, he enjoyed skiing, sailing, photography and playing golf. In earlier years, Robert would travel with his family and truly cherished the times he had with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, creating memories that would last forever in their hearts.

Robert is survived by his devoted children, Richard Rohrman and his wife Joanne of Long Branch, NJ, James Rohrman and his wife Debbie of Matawan, NJ, and Mariane Hitchner of Hatboro.  Robert is also survived by his brother, George Rohrman of Brewster, NY, his sister, Dorothy West of Dumont, NJ, his 9 grandchildren and his 2 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, October 25th from 6:00-8:00PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Visitation at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA, 18940 will be from 10:00am on Thursday, October 26, with his Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30am.  Interment with military honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Rev. Msgr. William J. Linder Scholarship Fund, 233 West Market St. Newark, NJ 07103.
