Mary Elizabeth Haggerty Mullaney passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 92.
Mary was the loving wife of the late George F. Mullaney.
Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Daniel A. and Elizabeth Harrington Haggerty.
Mary was a devoted Catholic and most recently attended St. Andrew’s Church in Newtown. She prayed the Rosary every day and always kept the special intentions of those she loved in her daily prayers.
To Mary, education was paramount and to say she was an avid reader would be an understatement. She was also sure to keep herself well informed by watching the news. Mary was a proud member of the Republican Party, loved to travel having previously been to Ireland and other parts of Europe. Mary also enjoyed scratch off lottery tickets, trips to the casinos and cooking for her friends and family. Mary loved flowers and gardening. She will be dearly missed by all.
Surviving are her children, Robert Mullaney (Elizabeth), Kevin Mullaney (Patty), Eileen Wilkie (Dave), Maryann Maurer (Paul), and Betsy Prince. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, David (Kiwi), Megan, Daniel, Christine (Dimitri), William, Stephen, Jacqueline, Christopher, Kayla, Kyle, Natalie, Ryan, and Aidan; and her great-grandson, Nicholas.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister and her husband, Eileen Ivers (Bill) and her cousin and her husband May Bode (Ferdinand), who was like a sister to her.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. Her interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
