James L. Kelly, of Haycock, PA died in his sleep at home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. He was 79.

He proudly served in the US Army. He spent his professional life in the food and retail industry, having been employed with A&P/Super Fresh for 42 years. James was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and a good friend to many. He was a car enthusiast, loved going to the shooting range, reading and was known to many as “the candy man”. He will be most remembered by the joy he had in telling a good joke and the love he had for his dog, Patty.

He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Taylor, Jack, Samantha, Kempton Jr., Jacqueline, Aidan, Sami, Jenna, Dane and Andrew. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Phyllis A. Kelly of 17 years and his second wife of 17 years, Andrea C. Kelly.

James’ family will receive condolences on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 12:30pm until the start of his prayer service, 2:30pm, at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will take place privately.
