Esther M. Barwick Powers, of Rhawnhurst, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Vitas Hospice at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia.

She was the beloved wife of the late Miller H. Powers.

Born in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Julia Minksztyn  Barwick.

Esther is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, James M. Powers, and David P. and Frances Powers. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Christine Powers and David P. Jr. and his wife, Carolyn Powers. She was also the proud great grandmother of Josephine Powers and Ellie Powers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 11:30am until her Funeral Mass, 12:30pm at Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 2000 Shelmire Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19152. Her interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Resurrection of Our Lord Church, at the above address; or to a charity of ones’ choice.
