Mary Agnes Kerr died peacefully on Monday March 31, at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Jim Kerr.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Agnes Fulton Benedick. She was the mother of the late Karen Kerr and sister of the late Gerald and Patricia Benedick.
Mary was a graduate of St. Hubert’s High School in Philadelphia where she was a member of the glee club and remained a faithful alumni and supporter. She enjoyed travelling, especially to Ireland, and will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her beloved sons, Kevin and his wife, Rita, Dennis, Brian, Terrence and his wife, Lori, and James and his wife, Teresa. She is also survived by her brother, Peter Benedick; eight adoring grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 7-9pm on Sunday April 6 and again from 9 to 10:15am, on Monday April 7 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Her funeral mass will follow at 11am at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053.
Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
