Katherine R. Blood, of Harleysville, died peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Peter Becker Community. She was 84 years old.

She was the beloved wife for 64 years to George B. Blood.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Archer Kurz; grandmother of the late Kristin Hughes and mother of the late Margaret Blood Welhaf.

Katherine loved to have fun. She loved crossword puzzles, reading, playing bingo, the Las Vegas casinos and shopping.

Most of all her family came first.  She was a wonderful, compassionate, strong, but good-hearted woman who was kind and forgiving.  She was a true blessing to her entire family who will be forever in our hearts and remembered when we have a Coke and smile.

Katherine is survived by her loving children, George B. Blood, Jr. and his wife Darlene, Catherine Hughes, and her husband, Robert; John Blood and Anne Blood. She will be missed by her 8 cherished grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10:00 AM until her funeral service, 11:00AM, at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hilltown.
