Margaret C. Jeffries of Yardley died peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Chandler Hall in Newtown.  She was 81.

Marge was the beloved wife of 54 years to Clinton W. Jeffries.

Born in Manhattan, NY she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Fannie Richards and the sister of the late Jean Richards.

Marge graduated from Evanda Childs High School and she met the love of her life who would join her in marriage in April of 1963.  Marge and her husband started their life in New York before relocating to Philadelphia, Plymouth Meeting, and settling for the past 36 years in Yardley where together they have raised 3 wonderful men.

Marge received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from La Salle University in 1992 and started attending to the patients at Episcopal Hospital and to the resident at the Philadelphia Nursing Home until her retirement.  She was and avid sports fan and athlete who enjoyed watching the Philadelphia teams and spending time on the Tennis Courts with friends.  She enjoyed fine works of literature and reading through magazines for entertainment, but she cherished and loved spending time with her family traveling, eating in fine restaurants, and sharing her sharp wit and comments of the state of the world.  Marge will be greatly missed, but she will be eternally loved by those who had the pleasure to call her a wife, mother, sister, and friend.

In addition to her beloved husband Clinton, Marge is survived by her loving sons Chad and his wife Laura, Scott, and Glenn and his wife Nathalie, her 4 adoring grandchildren: Lindsey, Graham, Chloe, and Logan.  She is also survived by her brothers Richard, Bobby, and Theodore Richards as well as countless loyal and cherished friends.

Services and interment will be conducted privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Boulevard Philadelphia, PA 19104 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
