Warren J. Meyer
Warren J. Meyer of Maple Glen, PA, former resident of Belle Meade, Southern Pines, and Seven Lakes, NC passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Dresher, PA. He was 93.
Born in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Elsie Goellner Meyer. Warren was a graduate of Duke University. He married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Henne, and shared 71 years of marriage until Ruth passed away in November, 2015.
Warren enjoyed being a highly competent gardener and master of all tasks in the home and yard. He loved the outdoors. He was an accomplished golfer, engineer, business owner, Dad, Grampy and Great- Grampy. Warren was respected and loved by all. He and Ruth were especially devoted to each other, raising a family, travelling the world and sharing his sense of humor with family and friends.
Surviving are Warren’s children, Glenn Meyer and his wife, Kathy, Alan Meyer and his wife, Pam, and Janis McCarthy (the late Robert). He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
As a U.S. Navy veteran, Warren and Ruth will be interred at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, PA.
