Paul J. McCool, of Langhorne, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 86.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Marguerite Reap McCool.
Born in Jermyn, PA, he was a son of the late James and Mary (Cain) McCool.
Paul grew up in Kingston, PA graduated from Kingston High School in 1949 and continued onto Millersville University for his undergraduate degree. He then went on to Penn State University where he received his Master’s Degree in Education Administration.
For over 62 years Paul has called Bucks County his home and where he began his career in education; first an educator, then principal and ultimately an administrator, all with the Bristol Township School District for 38 years. He was an avid sports fan and would watch anything as long as there were numbers on their backs; especially if his grandchildren were playing. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, telling bad jokes, playing golf, reading on the deck and being with and surrounded by his entire family who loved him dearly.
He never met a stranger; he will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure to meet him.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children Paul J. McCool Jr. and his wife Tammy of Deer Park, IL, Maureen Baker and her husband Michael of Newtown, Mark McCool and his wife Carlene of Doylestown, Michael McCool and his wife Carolyn of Ocala, FL, and his sister-in law Virginia McCool of Delaware. He is also survived by his eight loving grandchildren: Paul III, Caitlin, Ryan, Caryssa, Courtney, Mark, James and Jeffrey and many nieces and nephews.
