Lorraine F. Walsh, of Langhorne, PA died on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center with her family by her side. She was 85.
She was the beloved wife of the late James Walsh and mother of the late James J. Walsh and Diane K. Walsh.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Julius and Cecelia Grubiack Gonsiewski.
Lorraine grew up in Philadelphia and attended Nazareth Academy. During that time she was voted three times as May Queen, which entails presenting flowers to the Blessed Mother statue during the ceremony. In 1950 she graduated with honors and received a full scholarship to Fordham University in New York; however, she did not attend.
Lorraine became a private secretary at Davidson Trucking Company. She then continued on to become a private secretary at a division of Barrett Industries in Philadelphia until she married James Walsh of Philadelphia on April 23, 1955.
For many years Lorraine lived at Attleboro where she made many friends. She enjoyed visits from her family; especially, her granddaughters when they would bring their dog, Willy, with them to see her.
She is survived by her three children: James (and Carol) Walsh of Plano, TX, Linda (and Gary) Petrillo of Newtown and Donna Walsh. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Nardone of Richboro and her 3 granddaughters: Alissa, Natalie and Christina.
