John J. “Jack” Fox, Jr. of Horsham, PA, died peacefully on June 29, 2017 at Abington Hospice at Warminster. He was 76.
He was the husband of his beloved late wife of 54 years, Phyllis Waters Fox, who passed away in March.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, John was the son of the late John J. and Mina Ebner Fox, father of the late John J. “Jackie” Fox, III; brother of the late James T. Fox, Sr. and uncle of the late James T. Fox, Jr. MD.
A longtime resident of the Hatboro-Horsham area, Jack was a graduate of Father Judge High School. He enjoyed a long career as a diesel mechanic. With over 50 years in the industry, he worked for Signal Delivery in Philadelphia and retired from Ryder Trucking in Horsham. He cherished spending time with his family and time spent on or near the water, whether fishing, boating, scuba diving, swimming or a day at the beach, was his true passion. He also spent time riding motorcycles and tinkering around the house. Jack and his wife enjoyed summers camping at Longbeach RV Resort.
Jack will be greatly missed by his children and their spouses, Patty (Clay) Lepley, Ellie (Mike) Suder and Scott (Dottie) Fox; his loving grandchildren, Clay (Gray) Lepley, Tom Lepley, Melissa (Fabio) Nussberger, Katie Suder, Cindy Fox, and Hailey Fox; great grandchildren, Toccoa Lepley, Rory Lepley and Louis Nussberger; his sister Dolores (Bill) Haughney and several sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jack’s visitation on July 22, 2017 from 9:00am until the start of his service, 10:00am, Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave (at Sandy Ridge Rd) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Abington Hospice at Warminster at 225 Newtown Rd. Warminster, PA 18974.
