Sandy Louis Sciulli of Richboro, PA died peacefully after a lengthy illness on Sunday, July 2, 2017. He was 74.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Sandy was the beloved husband of 51 years to Elizabeth Tarquinio Sciulli and the son of the late Santo and Sarah Vetri Sciulli.

Sandy was a 1960 graduate of South Philadelphia High School and a 1964 graduate of Millersville University with a bachelor degree in Secondary Education.  During his years in high school and college, Sandy enjoyed playing football on the schools’ Varsity squads.  For 23 years Sandy was an Industrial Arts teacher at John B. Stetson and CCA Baldi Schools in Philadelphia before transitioning to manager of design, production, and mechanical implementation at The Philadelphia Cervical Collar Company.  During his tenure in Industrial Design, Sandy was honored to hold 2 patents for his work in developing medical devices that continue to help society.

Sandy was known to his friends and family as a talented woodworker who enjoyed construction projects, especially building sailboats.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time sailing with friends and family at Lake Nockamixon, and at Lake Luxembourg.  He and his wife Elizabeth volunteered at their church on numerous marriage encounters, where they would share experiences of a good marriage.  Sandy was always ready to take the helm when it came to caring and helping his family and their dearest friends and for that, he will be greatly missed but he his memory will be always cherished.

In addition to his wife Elizabeth, Sandy is survived by loving and devoted children: Matthew Sciulli and Christine Sciulli and her husband Carter Burwell.  He is also survived by his dear grandchildren Tycho, Tor, and Greta Rose and his sister Judy Rohm.

Sandy’s family will receive friends on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd, Holland, PA 18966.  Interment will be private.
