Our beloved mother Florence J. Cook of Furlong, PA and formerly of Ewing, NJ died peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, with her family by her side. She was 94.

Born in Allentown, NJ, Florence was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late Edward J. Cook, daughter of the late Ely and Sarah Hutchinson Hausser and was predeceased by her 4 siblings.

Florence was a graduate of Allentown High School, class of 1940. She and her husband were the owners of The Lambertville Antique Flea Market from 1971 until she turned it over to her daughter Beverly in 1980 who along with her husband operated it until 2003.  She served as the director of the Women’s Craft Show at the New Jersey Fairgrounds in Trenton over 50 years ago. Florence had an eye for Antiques and the value they had, she was never idle.  Florence apprenticed and became a very talented refinisher herself under Robert Whitley of Solebury, a master craftsman furniture maker and refinisher.

During her retirement, Florence loved spending time residing with her husband in Maine and Florida, and in her leisure Florence enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics and playing poker with family and friends. She with be sadly missed for her loving and gentle ways.  

Florence is survived by her dear children; Pamela  S. Cook, Beverly C. Errhalt and her husband Herwig and , Edward R. Cook and his wife Michele. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Florence’s family will greet family and friends on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 10:00 am until her Memorial Service at 11:00 am at the New Life Christian Church 4 Freedom Drive, Newtown, PA. 18940.  The Rev. Dr. Norman J. Leve, Jr. will be officiating. Interment will be private.
