Kenneth John O’Neil of Holland passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 70.
Ken was the beloved husband of 36 years to Ann “Nancy” S. Pappas O’Neil.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Katherine Lux O’Neil and the brother of the late James O’Neil.
Ken was a former resident of Philadelphia and had graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School and LaSalle University. Ken served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and worked with Tactical Nuclear Weapons while stationed in Germany. He had a distinguished career as an internal auditor with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He headed the Internal Audits Division of the Bureau of Financial Management in Southeastern Pennsylvania for over 35 years until his retirement. In his leisure, he enjoyed traveling throughout the world, playing golf and visiting train museums. Ken always made his family first. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family especially his 2 cherished grandchildren. Ken will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.
In addition to his beloved wife Nancy, Ken is survived by his 2 daughters, Stephanie A. DeLucia and her husband Adam of Montgomeryville and Christina M. O’Neil and her boyfriend James Mussallem of Holland. He is survived by his Mother-in-law Lillian Pappas of Holland and his 2 grandsons Samuel and Thomas Jude (TJ) as well as Sister-in-Law Anne O’Neil of Huntington Valley, Niece Jessica Palumbo and husband Steve of Philadelphia, Nephew Brian and wife Kelly of Rockledge as well great nieces, Sophia, Nick and Natalia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, June 20th from 10:30am until his Funeral Mass 12:00pm in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18940. Ken’s interment with military honors will be held at 1:30pm in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
