Bruce Bridgwater of Sellersville and formerly a long-time resident of Plumsteadville passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Doylestown Hospital surrounded by his family.  He was 79.

Bruce was the beloved husband of the late Jo-Ann Kelley Bridgwater.

Born in Corby, England, he was a son of Elsie Brown Bridgwater of Holland, PA, and the late Archibald Bridgwater.

Bruce came from England to the United States in 1951.  He graduated from Central High School in Philadelphia and attended Temple University.  Bruce led a long career as a Purchasing Agent for Tarcon Control Systems/Everite Machine Products, from where he retired.

Bruce was an active member of Pleasantville United Church of Christ in Chalfont where he volunteered a great deal of his time.  One of his favorite past times was sailing his boat on Lake Nockamixon.  He was an avid model railroader and he loved soccer, especially watching Arsenal games.  He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Bruce is survived by his children, Brian J. Bridgwater and his wife, Jeanne; Jennifer L. Schaffner and her husband, Chip; and Rebecca S. Dent and her husband, Travis.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Benjamin, Allison, Jack, Hailey, Madison, and Chelsea; and his brother, Stewart Bridgwater and his wife, Carol.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, June 8, 2017, from 10:30 AM until his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at Pleasantville United Church of Christ, 3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont, PA 18914.  His interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.
