Walter A. Young, Jr. of West Chester, formerly of Rosemont died on June 1, 2017 at Paoli Memorial Hospital. He was 93.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Meehan Young.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Walter A. Young Sr. and Anna Nash Young and brother of the late Lawrence, Carolyn and Audrey.

He was a proud Veteran and recipient of the Silver Star and Bronze Oak-Leaf Cluster.

He is survived by his children, Eva M. Young, Amy Y. Siki and her husband Michael P., Walter A. Young, III and his wife Gail T., Megan M. Scherer and her husband Carl M., He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Mary, Peter, Caroline, Eva, Katrina, Rebecca, Claire, Liam and Pierce. He was also predeceased by his dear friend and companion of 8 years Margaret A. Eisenhart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 9:00 am until his Funeral Mass 10:30 am at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Lane, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. His interment with Military Honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
