Denise Anne Stanley, of Newtown, PA, died peacefully Monday, May 29, 2017 at home, surrounded by her beloved family and friends. She was 52 years old.

She was the devoted wife of Ken Stanley for almost 27 years. They met in 1986 at Temple University and have been inseparable ever since.

Born in Bristol, PA, she was the daughter of John and Yvonne Beitler Gilbert.  Denise adored her mother and father and was fortunate to be able to share many of her family’s milestones with them.

In addition to her husband and parents, Denise is survived by her loving children Mike Stanley and Megan Stanley; her sister Rochelle Ashley; her father and mother-in-law, Richard and Martha Stanley; her brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and many adored girlfriends.

While Denise enjoyed playing tennis and doing pilates with her girlfriends, her main passion was always her children. She attended nearly all of their tennis matches, dance recitals, plays, and every other activity in which they were involved.  She loved days at the beach and the family’s bi-annual trips together to Hershey Park to see her cherished Uncle Frank, a tradition for the past 22 years.

Denise was a Certified Public Accountant and had the good fortune of working for a tremendously supportive businessman, Bob Burness.

Denise is predeceased by her grandmother and several aunts and uncles, whom she adored.  We’re certain that they are already preparing the other angels that “She’s not bossy, she just knows what we should all be doing.”

Denise’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Denise’s interment will take place privately.
