Daniel J. Dalton of Holland died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer at his home on Friday, May 26, 2017.
Born in Philadelphia, Dan was the beloved husband of 42 years to Christine M. (nee Lynn) Dalton, son of the late James R. and Ann Ghaney Dalton.
Dan was a resident of Holland for the past 31 years. He was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School, class of 1968; he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and his MBA from Drexel University.
For the past 32 years Dan has been with Subaru of America. Dan was Vice President Chief Human Resource Officer and President of Pleiades Insurance Company.
Before joining Subaru, Dan was the Senior Audit Manager for Arthur Andersen & Co.
Dan was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Church in Newtown. He was active in the community through his involvement in the Subaru of America, Inc. Foundation where he is a Trustee and Treasurer. He was a CPA and member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA’s. He was a Past President of the Philadelphia Chapter of Financial Executives International. To say that Dan was involved would be an understatement, but he always had time for his family and a smile on his face. He will be sadly missed for his gracious manor and kindness to all.
In addition to his beloved wife Christine, Dan is survived by his 3 loving children Joanna M. Guest and her husband James, Daniel J. Dalton, Jr., and Patrick M. Dalton, his brother Ronald Dalton, 3 adorable grandchildren Caroline, Chloe and Christopher, many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Relatives, friends and colleagues are invited to attend his viewings on Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and to his Funeral Mass 10:30am at the Church of St. Andrew 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown.
