Hildegard Schmidt of Pineville, Bucks County, passed away peacefully at Doylestown Hospital. She was 79 years old.

Born in the town of Kostenblut in the former German province of Silesia, she was the wife of the late beloved Wendelin Schmidt for 43 years. She lived with her husband and children in Austria before moving to the US in 1970, and created a beautiful home in Bucks County. She was a loving, dedicated mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered fondly for her smile and her kind ways. With her easy and comforting manner, she touched many people.

Hildegard is survived by her loving children; Wendelin Schmidt (Karin), Regina Garton (Curtis), and Veronika Wendeborn (Bernd). Also surviving are her many grandchildren; Sandra, Mike Wendeborn; Tobias, Anika Ojeda, Leoni Schmidt; Daniel, Rachel Garton; two step-grandchildren Ryan, Audra Garton and great-granddaughter Emiliana Ojeda.

Her family will receive relative and friends on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 11:00am until her funeral service 12:00pm, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave., (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA. Interment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Hildegard’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
