Georgia Jones of Newtown died peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2017, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 93.

Born in Hanover, PA, Georgia moved to Bucks County in 1952 and eventually to Newtown in 1976. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late John R. Jones, Sr., daughter of the late George and Flora Seybert Croop, mother of the late Jorja Lee Jones, sister of the late George Croop, Jane Patrick and sister-in-law to the late Thomas Patrick and Edward Kalinay.

Georgia was a graduate of Hanover Township High School, class of 1943 and received her degree as a Registered Nurse from Cornell Medical Center in 1946. She worked in several hospitals throughout her career, Nanticoke Hospital, Moses Taylor Hospital and Lower Bucks County Hospital. Her specialty was private duty care, whether in the hospital setting or in the home of patients. She gave her all to her patients.

Georgia was a member of Northampton Presbyterian Church, Holland, an avid reader, excellent shopper, enjoyed gardening and keeping herself in good health. She was an active supporter of water aerobics and would tell all about the benefits. Family came first and foremost in her life. Her children and grandchildren made her eyes sparkle. She will be sadly missed by her devoted family and the families she cared for.

Georgia is survived by her devoted children and their spouses; Jacalyn Booth and her husband Stephen, John R. Jones, Jr. and his wife Karen. Loving grandmother of; John R. Jones 4th and his partner Daniel Seet, Jamie R. Quarino and her husband Matthew, Jorden R. Jones, Dylan J. Booth and Brendan A. Booth and soon to be blessed with a great granddaughter. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Bess Croop and her partner Romayne Lochner, Carol Kalinay and a sister-in-law Joan Croop.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday May 19, 2017 from 11:00am until her Funeral Service 1:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Northampton Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 539 Buck Rd., Holland, PA 18966.
