Robert H. McGary of Seaside Heights, NJ, formerly of Richboro died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident. He was 49.
Born in Abington, Rob as he was known was a resident of Seaside Heights, NJ for the past 25 years. He was the beloved son of Robert H. Sr. and Elaine Rucker McGary, grandson of the late George and Ellen Rucker, Harold and Elizabeth McGary and nephew of the late John Rucker.
Rob was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1986 and played on the Ice Hockey team. He played the catcher position for Northampton Little League Baseball and could be called upon to play any other position. In his youth, Rob worked over the years for Bright Leaf Gardens and Flower Shop.
Rob’s truck driving career in the foodservice industry started 25 years ago with Balford Farms delivering dairy products. He recently joined Cream-O-Land Dairy of Florence, NJ, and continued delivering foodservice and dairy products to many of the schools in North Jersey. He will be sadly missed not only by his devoted family but his many friends in the Bucks County and Seaside Heights areas.
In addition to his parents, Rob is survived by his sister Joy Ellen Barruzza and her husband James Sr. He is also survived by his uncle Warren and aunt Dorine McGary, his aunt Carol Rucker, and aunt Carol and uncle Ken Neuhaus, nephews, Joseph McGary (Kyle) and James Barruzza, Jr., and great uncle of Mackenzie Marie McGary. He was also survived by his cousins Dorine, Debbie, Dawn, Johnny and David.
Rob’s family will receive condolences on Friday May 19th 2017 from 4:00pm until his Memorial Service 5:00pm at the Addisville Reformed Church 945 Second St. Pike Richboro. Interment will be private in Union Cemetery, Richboro.
