William W. Richart, of Holland, died peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 79.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Richart was a resident of Holland for the past 45 years. He was the beloved husband of Eileen D. Moore Richart and son of the late Vincent and Eleanor Mirth Richart.
Bill was a graduate of North Catholic High School, class of 1956; he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Steamfitters Union Local # 420 for the past 51 years working on various construction projects throughout the 5 county area, as well as Vice President of the Steamfitters Retirees Committee.
Bill was a communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Holland; founder of the Parish CYO program in 1974, and was also instrumental in starting the Catholic League Soccer Program for Boys and Girls in the Diocese of Philadelphia.
When Bill had spare time you would find him on the soccer field working with kids. He was an active committeeman with the Democratic Party in Northampton Township. An avid car enthusiast, he was very proud of his 1976 Corvette Sting Ray. He will be sadly missed by his devoted family, friends and all the kids he helped on and off the Soccer fields.
In addition to his beloved wife Eileen, Bill is survived by his dear children and their spouses William V. Richart and his wife Pam, Cynthia M. Gibson and her husband John, Deanna E. Elias and her husband Albert John, Stephanie J. Hallman, Jennifer L. Michaels and her husband Daniel, He is also survived by 9 dear grandchildren; Olivia and her husband Cristian, Albert John, William, Mark, Mitchell, Matthew, Tess, Zackary and Audrey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Thursday evening May 18, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 8:15am to 9:15 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and to his Funeral Mass 10:00 am, at St. Bede the Venerable Church Holland.
