Dorothy C. Pracht Barnhart, of Telford, PA, joined her beloved late husband of 50 years, Robert W. Barnhart, Sr. in death on Monday, May 8, 2017. She was 78 years old.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anna Crawford and George J. Pracht, Sr. Dorothy had been a resident of the Chalfont area since 1972. She initially volunteered in the Chalfont Elementary School in both the library and nurses office until the school closed. Because of her gift and dedication to the students, she then worked at the Doyle Elementary School in Doylestown as a Special Education Assistant until her retirement in 2007.

Dorothy loved the beach, particularly Stone Harbor, NJ and Rehoboth Beach, DE. She enjoyed cross-stitch and crossword puzzles. With family being her priority, she enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren. She particularly loved the special time with her grandson Christopher and watching him grow up. 

Dorothy will be missed by her loving children, Robert W. (Nicole) Barnhart, Jr. and Dottie (Daniel) Kerr; and grandchildren, Will Barnhart, Christopher Kegg, Isabelle Kerr and Gregory Kerr. She is also survived by many caring and loving friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Friday, May 12, 2017 from 9:30am until the start of her funeral service, 10:30am at the Chapel at the Lutheran Community of Telford, 12 Lutheran Home Dr. in Telford, PA 18969. Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery in Rockledge, PA.
