Rosemary L. Albert of Lansdale died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Friday April 28, 2017 after a long illness. She was 61.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Chalfont, Rosemary lived much of her later life in Blue Bell and Lansdale. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Rosemary Rath Albert.

Rosemary was a graduate of Central Bucks West, class of 1973, and received her degree in Biology in 1977 from Delaware Valley College. She continued her education and graduated from Chestnut Hill College with her Nursing degree and worked for a few years at Chestnut Hill Hospital. In 1984, Rosemary started a 24-year career working in the Pharmaceutical industry, for firms such as Sanofi SA, Merck, and Johnson and Johnson using her Biology and Nursing knowledge and experience.

For the past 6 years, Rosemary had worked as a legal nurse, consulting for various legal entities using her pharmaceutical experiences, until her illness prevented her from working.

Rosemary was a woman of many strengths and skills; she loved her family, was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking for friends, and enjoyed contributing to a number of local charities. Rosemary received her strength not only from her family but from the love of her life and partner, Jacob M. Hoffman, Jr., who was with her at every turn during her illness. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbors.

Rosemary is survived by her sister, Anne Grant and Anne’s husband Warren and two sons, Robert J. and Paul C. Grant; her brothers Robert G. Albert and Thomas A. Albert; as well as her dear partner, Jacob M. Hoffman, Jr.

Rosemary’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 10:00 am until the start of her Prayer Service at 11:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA. Interment will be private.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Casual for a Cause c/o Souderton Area High School; 625 Lower Rd., Souderton, PA 18964.
