Louis Charles Roll of Holland, PA died peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He was 86.

Lou was the beloved husband of the late Sarah Anne Kologiski Roll for 61 years. He was the loving father of 3 daughters, Deborah Pekula (Michael), Laurie Larr (Richard Steadman), and Sally Danowsky (Joseph); and loving grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 2.

Lou enjoyed a long-time career as a mechanical engineer and industrial truck designer with what began as Yale & Towne in Northeast Philadelphia and eventually became NACCO Materials Handling Group, from which he retired as a Director of Product Engineering in 1994. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, music, and spending time with his family and friends. He was always ready with a smile, a good joke, a favorite song, and a supportive and lending hand. He was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the start of a Time of Remembrance at 2:00 pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Louis’s interment will take place privately.
