Maureen A. “Molly” McGinty of Chalfont passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, April 20, 2017.  She was 57.

Molly was the beloved wife of 31 years to James McGinty. 

Born in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Dan and Irene Engbarth Ragan. 

Molly graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Temple University.  She most recently was employed as a Home Health Aide and took great pride in her work with the people she served. 

Molly also enjoyed gardening reading and most importantly spending precious time with her family and friends who she loved dearly.   

In addition to her husband, Molly is survived by her daughter, Sarah McGinty; her brothers, Michael Ragan and his wife, Judy, David Ragan and his wife, Kimberly, and Rev. Gerald C. Ragan; her sister-in-law, Jane Ragan, and her brother-in-law, Michael Sweeney. 

Molly was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Sweeney and her brother, Daniel Ragan. 

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), and again on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Molly’s interment will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.
