Leonard A. Pinto, of Warrington, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare. He was 87.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Kingsland Reynolds.
Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina Calabretti Pinto
Lenny grew up in the Bronx, NY and Fort Lee, NJ and Madison, NJ for several years before moving to the area a few months ago. He served in the US Army during World War II and found a love of traveling which took him many places around the world, but his favorite was Italy. Lenny spoke Italian and felt very comfortable in Italy. So comfortable that on one of his many trips there he bought a home in Bari, Italy.
For over 45 years Lenny worked with the United States Post Office as a purchasing agent, before retiring in 1985. He enjoyed skiing and being outdoors. Lenny was very kindhearted and genuine. He was devoted to his parents and family and faithfully took care of them. The love and dedication he showed to his family and friends will fondly be remembered and appreciated.
In addition to his loving wife, Lenny is survived by Kathleen’s children; Kathy and James Mahan of Tennessee, William Reynolds of Pottstown, PA, Tammy Wengyn and her husband Joseph of Chalfont, his two brothers Peter Pinto of Florida, Frank Pinto and his wife Leslie of Florida, he is also survived by grandchildren; Brian, Tara, James, Laura, Max and Annabeth and his faithful dog, Angel.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 12:00 Noon, until his Funeral Mass 1:00PM at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914. His interment will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914 or to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care, 523 Plymouth Rd Suite 225, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
