Emma B. Stark of Langhorne, whose candle was lit on August 9, 1927 and burned brightly for 89 years, was dimmed on April 9, 2017 as she passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Holy Redeemer Hospice.

Emma was the beloved wife of the late Werner G. Stark with whom she had shared 34 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Elizabeth K. Wohlgemuth Gauch.

Emma attended Olney High School and Standard Evening High before going on to lead a long career in bookkeeping.  Following her retirement, she was employed for many years as a cashier at the former Genuardi’s Family Market in Langhorne.

Family was the center of Emma’s world and she enjoyed many family cruises to all over the world and countless visits to the family home in Ocean City, NJ.  She also enjoyed gardening and reading.  Either way, as long as Emma was with the people she loved, she was happy.  She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are Emma’s children, Dianne K. Ratka and her husband, Thomas and Robert W. Stark and his wife, Melody with whom she resided; her adoring grandchildren, Nicholas Ratka, Lauryn and Olivia Stark, and Robert Stark, Jr.  She also leaves behind her brother, Frederick Gauch and his wife, Gundi, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Emma’s graveside service on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 9:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053, where those attending are asked to assemble at the cemetery’s main entrance at 9:15 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 877 Street Rd., Southampton, PA 18966.
