Florence June (Marsden) Hamilton of Chalfont passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 with her loving family by her side at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home. She was 97.

Florence was the beloved wife of the late Robert Hamilton with whom she had shared 47 years of marriage and loving mother of the late Terrence Hamilton.  

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late William and Violet A. Weber Marsden.

Florence attended 1^st thru 6^th grade at One Room School House, Cedar Hill in Chalfont Borough then moved to Philadelphia where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson Jr. High, Olney High School and Strayer Business School.

She later moved to Doylestown when she married Robert Hamilton, where they had a State Farm Insurance Company office. Florence worked at Fischer & Porter until her retirement following 38 years with the company.

Commited to community involvement, Florence was a member of the Junior Women’s League, Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Presbyterian Church and was a hostess for several years at Doylestown Hospital’s annual Designer House.

Florence was most happy tending to her roses and birds, cheering on her Phillies, and most importantly participating in the various activities as part of her great-grandchildren’s busy lives.

Surviving are Florence’s grandchildren, Keith Hamilton and his wife, Pam, Kevin Hamilton and his wife, Michelle, LeeAnn Jacobs and her husband, Paul, Jason Hamilton and Tiffany Hamilton. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cody, Sawyer, and Kayla Hamilton, Dan and Nick DiPasquali, Hayden Hamilton, Olivia Jacobs, and Gabby Hamilton.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 9:30 AM until her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901. Her interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown.
