Maureen P. Steixner of Holland died peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Arden Court of Yardley at the age of 68. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence Steixner for 43 years.

Born August 12, 1948 and raised in Forty Fort, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Phyllis Brennan McAndrew. A graduate of Central Catholic High School and Bloomsburg State College, she would go on to earn her master’s degree in education. Maureen taught elementary education in the Bensalem School District for over 3 decades, with the majority of her career teaching kindergarten.

Maureen embraced life to the fullest, a caring and loving wife, mother and teacher. She was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed music, laughter, time with her family and a good cup of tea. She was a patient and committed teacher, with a genuine love of her classroom and students. She was a loyal friend to many, with a kind and gentle heart.

In addition to her loving husband, Maureen is survived by her daughter, Erin Brennan Steixner, her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Brian and Christina Steixner; her granddaughter, Waverly Marlin Steixner; her brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Nancy McAndrew and Neil and Diane McAndrew and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, April 11 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass, 11:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd, Holland, PA 18966. Maureen’s inurnment will take place privately.
