Marian “Pat” Kearney Thornton of Richboro passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown. She was 82.

Pat was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Hugh F. Thornton.

Born in Braddock, PA, she was daughter of the late Bernard and Helen Powell Kearney.

Pat was a former resident of the Lawndale section of Philadelphia before moving to Richboro in 1977. She was a graduate of West Catholic High School. Pat was a communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland.

In her leisure, she enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family. Pat was the Thornton Family COO (Chief Operating Officer) and their #1 coach and cheerleader. Her most cherished role was being the best mom and grandmom in the whole wide world. She will be deeply missed by her whole family and by all who came to know her.

Pat is survived by her 4 dear children and their spouses, Kevin F. and Theresa Thornton of Chalfont, Gerald P. and Peggy Thornton of Holland, Sharon R. and Matthew Allen of Newtown and Caroline M. and Thomas Erickson of Yardley. She was a loving grandmother to her 13 cherished grandchildren. Pat is also survived by her brother Bernie.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966.

Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Richboro.
